Our Stay at Old Town Ranch: Luxury Glamping in Temecula
Tucked near the De Portola Wine Trail, just minutes from top wineries like Altísima, Somerset, Oak Mountain, Leoness, and Danza del Sol, Old Town Ranch is one of those places that surprises you in the best way. We’ve stayed in plenty of unique places around Southern California, but this one truly left a mark.
Stagecoach Wagons… but Make It Luxe
When you think “stagecoach wagon,” your mind probably jumps to something rustic or a step above camping. But Old Town Ranch flips the script. Think central AC and heating, a private bathroom with a full walk-in shower (even my husband said it was nice), and a cozy, hotel-like feel wrapped up in a western fairytale shell.

Clean, Quiet, and Beautifully Kept
The entire property is immaculately maintained. From the landscaping to the common areas, you can tell every inch of the ranch is cared for with love and intention. It’s peaceful, private, and perfect for slowing down and soaking up the wine country vibes.

This isn’t just a cute photo op - it’s an experience. From the classic horseshoe pit to the dreamy rope swing, there are so many little things to enjoy. When the bar is open, you can grab a drink, then wind down the evening with a campfire and s’mores. There’s also outdoor grilling if you’re staying with friends, making it perfect for a weekend of connection.
Say hello to the horses & cows on the property
The resident animals added even more charm to the stay. Feeding carrots to the horses and admiring the cows on the hill made our time here feel extra magical. It’s little details like this that make Old Town Ranch feel like a place to truly be.

Since you’re just five minutes from some of Temecula’s best wineries, we definitely recommend planning a tasting tour while you’re there. And don’t forget to grab your Temecula Passport before you go - it’s the perfect way to track your visits and get the most out of wine country!
