Our Luxury Wine Tour Experience | Tour Del Vino
We recently booked a wine tour with Tour Del Vino for Father's Day weekend while we had family in town… and wow, we’re so glad we did. It was the perfect way to experience Temecula Wine Country without the stress of planning, driving, or guessing where to go.
Tour Del Vino is a luxury concierge wine tour service based in Temecula that curates one-of-a-kind itineraries designed just for you. Sue, the owner, reached out before the tour to ask what kind of experience we were looking for, but ultimately curated a day she felt would give us the best of the best… and she absolutely nailed it!
Getting Picked Up in Style
The day started off so effortlessly. Sue picked us up from our house (yes, seriously!) in a super comfortable Denali that was fully stocked with water and felt so luxe. It made the drive into wine country relaxing and enjoyable. No traffic stress. No car shuffle. Just quality time with our family!
Stop 1: Danza del Sol – UTV Vineyard Tour + Food & Wine Pairing
Our first stop was Danza del Sol, and it started with such a fun twist: a UTV tour through the vineyard.
We kicked things off with a sparkling wine greeting (their Espumosa!)
Hopped on a UTV and rode through the vineyards up to a hilltop with a stunning view of the barrel room below
Sampled wines while standing among the very vines they came from
Passed by the horses from Wine Country Trails by Horseback—a fun surprise!
Ended at the Danza clubhouse for a food and wine pairing
My favorite pairing? A slice of dried orange with manchego cheese paired with the dry Gewürztraminer. Seriously. So. Good.
Stop 2: Raul Ramirez – Spanish Estate Wines
Next up, we headed to Raul Ramirez, a boutique winery specializing in Spanish-style estate wines. This was such a peaceful and cozy stop with a more relaxed vibe.
Seated wine tasting indoors! It was 100 degrees out, so we opted for their cool beautiful indoors but they had a gorgeous outdoor area to enjoy as well!
Our wine faves: the Granacha Rosé and the Port, paired with salted caramel chocolate (yes please!)
Chill atmosphere that felt perfect for a relaxing 2nd stop.
Stop 3: Akash Winery – Vineyard Terrace + Charcuterie
Our final stop was Akash Winery, where we had one amazing experience!
Started in the Barrel Room with the assistant winemaker, where we learned about their winemaking process
Headed down to their Vineyard Terrace for a guided tasting
Enjoyed the most delicious charcuterie board by Bocconcini Pizza… 10/10 recommend!
Crowd favorites: their Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Unfiltered Malbec. I also personally LOVE their Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc… so unique and refreshing!
The assistant winemaker was super knowledgeable and shared so much in a way that felt engaging and interesting… not overwhelming. It was such a great way to wrap up the day.
The Ride Home
After all that wine, sunshine, and good food, we climbed back into the Denali, stocked with fresh water and just chilled. No one had to worry about who was driving, and the whole day was honestly just so easy.
Final Thoughts
This tour was worry-free, stress-free, and incredibly thoughtful from start to finish. My visiting family kept talking about how perfect the day was - and we couldn’t agree more. If you're looking for a curated, relaxing way to explore Temecula Wine Country, I highly recommend Tour Del Vino. They’ll take amazing care of you.
